How to fix a stuck AR Maglock

In this Reddit post someone had a stuck AR Maglock and needed some advice on how to fix the issue.

Question: I have an AR with one of those California compliant fixed magazine adapters. I spun it the wrong way when trying to break it down now its stuck like this. Any ideas or do I need a gunsmith?

Answer: Happened to me when I first got it. That detent needs to slide back towards the stock, i wasnt able to do it that easy but it works if you have a good set of needle nose pliers and a small screw driver to put in between the detent and receiver to pull it back. Worst case just take off the back plate and it’ll fall out behind the spring
